What is the best thing that I love about my work? I love the freedom and exploration of creating characters that I grow to know fully and love like a friend when the story is finished. I also love sharing my stories with readers and connecting with them on the story experience.

What is my idea of perfect happiness? Satisfaction that I’ve done my best in all areas of my life and the peace of knowing I’m with the right people, at the right time and the right place. And lazy days at the beach or lake!

What is my greatest fear? Fear of losing loved ones.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? Procrastination. ☺ Which basically means I’m delaying action on something I must do.

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? Jayne Anne Krentz, Linsey Hall, Gillian Flynn, Deborah Smith.

What is my greatest extravagance? Buying crystals – you can never have too many! I want them in all shapes, sizes and colors and they give me joy every time I look at them or hold them.

On what occasion would I lie? To save a loved one from pain or worry.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? Meeting deadlines, although if I didn’t have them I would work at a slower pace.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work? I’m at my happiest when I finish a book, knowing I’ve written it to the best of my abilities.

If I could, what would I change about myself? My lack of self confidence.

What is my greatest achievement in work? Being traditionally published.

Where would I most like to live? On the lakefront. Or the beach – a vast body of water is the prerequisite.

What is my most treasured possession? My cellphone perhaps since it keeps me in touch with friends and family.

What is my most marked characteristic? Kindness. At least I hope so!

What is my most inspirational location, in my city? At family reunions and hearing family stories as we visited a graveyard and reminiscence on our ancestors.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? A seafood buffet. Or sometimes only a pizza will do.

What books influenced my life and how? The most influential book I ever read was The Diary of Anne Frank. So inspiring that a thirteen year-old girl believe in the basic goodness of people while living in such horrific conditions.

Who are my favorite writers? See above answer on the favorites in my industry.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? Sweet Home Alabama by Lynerd Skynerd.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Marmee in Little Women. Does anyone read this book anymore?

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? I admire anyone who pursues work they love and is happy and peaceful in the results.

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? Romancing the Nile – so much fun!

What role plays art in my life and work? Art brings me much pleasure. My life would be dull without it.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My husband – he’s always so supportive and encouraging!

Whom would I like to work with in 2017? My editor at Harlequin Publishing.

Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2017? I actually will be meeting my editor and friends from across the country in Orlando this July when I attended the national conference of the Romance Writers of America. One day, I’d love to meet my agent.

What project, in 2017, am I looking forward to work on? I’m currently working on a psychological suspense that’s fun.
