What is the best thing that I love about my work? It changes everyday.

What is my idea of perfect happiness? Eating carbs and not getting fat!

What is my greatest fear? Losing my voice forever.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? Perfectionism. I’m too hard on myself.

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? Among the actors: Monica Vitti, Paola Cortellesi, Benedict Cumberbatch, Emma Thompson and Colin Firth. Among the singers: Petra Magoni and Beyoncè.

What is my greatest extravagance? Maybe beauty products.

On what occasion would I lie? When the truth makes no sense, like arguing with stupid people that insist they’re always right.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? Going to superficial events and a sense of having to satisfy the market.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work? A few years ago, when I was on stage, I felt really connected to the audience and my co-actors. It was almost a spiritual experience.

If I could, what would I change about myself? Insecurity.

What is my greatest achievement in work? Living off my art and doing what I love.

Where would I most like to live? In a lighthouse.

What is my most treasured possession? A ring that my husband and I bought the day we arrived in Santiago de Compostela, after we had walked 800km. It’s a symbol of the past, present and future and it has come to signify of our union. You could say it was our engagement ring.

What is my most marked characteristic? Analytical skills, absolutely.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city? The Isola Tiberina, a little island on the river Tiber in Rome.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? Trattoria Picchiapò, a small and traditional Roman restaurant.

What books influenced my life and how? The life of hunger by Amélie Nothomb, the Harry Potter books and Little women. These books gave me inspiration about the most important values in my life, like self-awareness, courage and loyalty.

Who are my favorite writers? Tahar Ben Jolloun, Amélie Nothomb, Eugenides, Elena Ferrante, Fred Vargas and Diego De Silva.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen to on my last day? Bach Cello Suite No.1 in G Major played by Yo Yo Ma.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Fran Fine, the main character of the series The Nanny. In Italy she is known as Francesca Cacace, la Tata.

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? People who never give up when everything feels like it’s all over.

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? Fargo, directed by Joel and Ethan Coen.

What role plays art in my life and work? Art plays a key role in my life both professionally and privately.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? Alessandro, my husband and my best friend.

Whom would I like to work with in 2017? I’d like to work with Colin Firth. It’s a dream I know, but I like dreaming big!

Which people in my profession would I love to meet in 2017? Professional people that want to create something new and out of the ordinary.

What project, in 2017, am I looking forward to work on? A production of a show.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? Passion is everything in my entire life, It’s the heart of all my actions and all my thoughts. This is the reason I’m an artist and that can never retire!
