What is the best thing that I love about my work? To manage it as I want to. It was born as a hobby and I could never think to it as a constraining activity.
What is my idea of perfect happiness? Being independent and satisfied about my life, not spending a day in a certain way just because I have to do it.
What is my greatest fear? Reptiles.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? My anxiety, but I’m working hard on it!
Which living persons in my profession do I most admire? I admire self-made persons, whoever’s strong and willing enough to achieve their goals despite difficulties.
What is my greatest extravagance? I can get easily influenced by a drawing; if I ruin something I was working on, or if I feel like I’m not able to work as I would like to, I can even get kinda depressed.
On what occasion would I lie? I prefer to leave out informations, if they’re only supposed to cause someonelse’s anger/sadness/etc.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? The fact people don’t always take it seriously: sometimes I collect compliments as if I was a kid messing around her sketchbook. I know it’s not intentionally offensive, but it’s annoying.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? There’s a client of mine in particular who often makes me happy, because he gives me carte blanche with my work: he prefers to give me suggestions and then let me work by my own inspiration, rather than commissioning very specific illustrations.
If I could, what would I change about myself? I should have more willpower and fight my laziness because it’s often fatal.
What is my greatest achievement in work? At the moment it’s my first self-produced artbook, “Efflorescences“, because before that I’d never been able to complete a non-commissioned work.

What is my most treasured possession? My personal drawings and my books.
What is my most marked characteristic? I need to follow my own inspiration in any aspect of my life. I’ll never be happy if I feel like I’m forced to do something in a certain moment: there’s a time for everyting, but I have to decide when it comes.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? I live in Milan: the Sforza Castle, with its gorgeous park and my beloved Art Library.

What books influenced my life and how? “El Arte” by Juanjo Saèz: it made me discover and love contemporary art. I recommend it to anyone who thinks it’s unintelligible and ridicoulous, because I thought it too and I understood how much I was wrong. With regard to novels, is was “Ocean sea” by Alessandro Baricco – but it’s much more personal and intimate.
Who are my favorite writers? Daphne Du Maurier, Roald Dahl and Alessandro Baricco.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? It would depend on my mood, I really can’t tell it! Maybe celtic music, or my favourite song (“Ghost love score” by the Nightwish).
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Lady Oscar. She’s my example of strenght and loyalty.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? Mostly artists, but most of all, Leonardo Da Vinci: a 360-degree genius fond of experimentation who proves that failures are also a way to great goals.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? Disney’s “Fantasia”.
What role plays art in my life and work? It may sound trivial, but it’s my safety valve, something that’s just mine. I can use it in a personal way but I can also use it as a connection with others.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My partner in crime is definitely Fidi (@Fidisart on Deviantart).
Whom would I like to work with in 2018? At the moment I work better by myself.

Which creative heroines should Peter invite to tell their story? I would like to read more about writers and novelists.
How can you contact me? I’m mostly active on Deviantart ( NikeMV.deviantart.com ), FB ( fb.me/nikeillustrations ) and Instagram (instagram.com/nike.mv), I share my sketches and I take commissions!
