What is the best thing that I love about my work? I’m journalist and writer. I deal with communication and this allows me to stay in touch with many people. Writing, from passion, has become my profession and I think it’s a great achievement. I started writing after surviving a tragic accident. I had never written before. Now, I’m lucky to do a job that I love.
What is my idea of perfect happiness? Being in harmony with oneself and with the cosmos. Positivity and serenity are essential.
What is my greatest fear? I fear loneliness a lot, but above all to lose who I love.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? It is impulsivity that burns me many occasions, but this is the answer to my insecurity.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? I admire people who try to tackle problems with determination and lucidity, who can keep calm and control.
What is my greatest extravagance? It is not an extravagance, but I love poetry more than anything else and I would live immersed in books.
On what occasion would I lie? Perhaps to help someone in need. For a good cause.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? Hurry is not positive in the work I do. Therefore it is necessary to maintain a constant concentration. Sometimes I have to be quick, so I have to know how to handle situations.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? When I have been in contact with children, they have a purity that enriches the soul. During some creative writing workshops I had the opportunity to live a very positive experience.
If I could, what would I change about myself? My insecurity. I always have the fear of making mistakes, I should have more confidence in myself
What is my greatest achievement in work? I try always to be precise and punctual. It is essential for me to do my best to get the results requested by my director. Being read and appreciated by colleagues is a great satisfaction.
Where would I most like to live? I like living in Rome, but I think every place has its charm.
What is my most treasured possession? My life, a wonderful, unique and precious gift.
What is my most marked characteristic? I am very sensitive and sometimes I can perceive and sense the thoughts of others.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? Certainly Villa Pamphilj, the largest park in Rome, it is there that I find inspiration to write and concentrate.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? I really love the typical trattorias, the homemade places that taste good and genuine.
What books influenced my life and how? “The little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, because it is one of the classics of literature that deals with the great themes of existence, love and friendship with extreme simplicity. For poetry I love “The religion of my time” by Pier Paolo Pasolini, one of the most significant and discussed poets of our time.
Who are my favorite writers? I read a lot. But in particular the books by Paulo Coelho, Ken Follet, Khaled Hosseini. My favourite poets are: Pier Paolo Pasolini, Alda Merini, Giacomo Leopardi, Giuseppe Ungaretti, Pablo Neruda, Charles Baudelaire, Arthur Rimbaud.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? “The Sound of silence” by Simon & Garfunkel.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? I do not know if I have a heroine, I really like Bridget Jones, the most loved single of literature and cinema, interpreted by Renèe Zellweger.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? Without a doubt, my mother, a courageous woman with a big heart.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? “Dead Poets Society” directed by Peter Weir and starring Robin Williams
What role plays art in my life and work? A main role, without art I could not live.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My partner supports all my activities. But also my family and my friends.
Whom would I like to work with in 2018? Certainly with positive people, full of energy. With those with a spirit of initiative and traveling on the same line, it is easier to get in tune.
Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2018? I would certainly like to meet some well-known writers that I respect, because to grow professionally it is useful to deal with those with more experience.
What project, in 2018, am I looking forward to work on? I am preparing several collections of poetry and I have numerous literary projects in the pipeline. My collection of poems, translated by Leanne Hoppe, is out with Bordighera Press in New York: Meditations in the feminine. I hope to meet my American readers soon.
