What is the best thing that I love about my work? I am a textile and mixed media artist. It is ​an act of  purification itself for me to make work every day. ​It is a process of cleansing my soul toward the joy of living ​

What is my idea of perfect happiness? I believe that perfect happiness etc does not exist alone. Even seemingly happy things have the same amount of misfortune behind them. ​The brilliance of happiness​ against the misfortune of darkness will be a momentary truth in life.
What is my greatest fear? When there is no image and no work can be made.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? I was very curious about the scratches on the edges of the nails of my hands and eating ​them​

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? Yoko Ono and Kusama Yayoi . I ​respect them very much from the viewpoint of racial discrimination, sexism discrimination, national survival, and avant-garde art activity throughout ​their ​ lifetime.

What is my greatest extravagance? When there is no one it ​disturbs me and I am alone.​
On what occasion would I lie? When ​I ​want to protect loved ones.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? ​Occasions when I have to meet people who do not interact with my work . ​


When and where was I the happiest, in my work? When I was able to finish my work in the style I wanted in the studio.
If I could, what would I change about myself? ​I do not have patience, for example I do not have the patience to learn a new language ​.


What is my greatest achievement in work? In recent years I have been mainly engaged in overseas activities as a member of the Globa​l​ Art Project, but I am acquainted with many wonderful friends and artists all over the world, spreading out the view, eventually becoming a source of my own creation and learning much. Th​is project allows me to accomplish this.​


Where would I most like to live? By the ​side of a loved one.
What is my most treasured possession Inside of me. When I was a child my grandmother always told me ​: “​Even if you have  
​everything, ​it will disappear. Learn a lot and learn culture, you will not lose it until you die. ​”
What is my most marked characteristic? Being timid like a bird and being freaky like a mighty wind.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? I like the side of a cluttered tree climbing through when I walk early every morning. It gives me vitality ​for ​the day with clear morning air and chirping of birds.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city? It is my house. I do not like to go out much and I like cooking at home very much.
What books influenced my life and how? I like to read poetry. In the world of poetry, each word is inspired, it has a big influence on my work. I also would like to create works full of poetry.
Who are my favorite writers? I like the poet Nakahara Nakaya. His work makes you feel the​ underlining rawness of ​loneliness
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? I want to hear the sound of rain drops.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? It is me in the mirror.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? Ryuichi Sakamoto : musician and Yayoi Kusama : artist 
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? I like the view of the world beyond Tarkovsky’s fantastic and abstract languages, but after seeing it all becomes my past and it will not be important to the present self, so it is difficult to choose one that is my favorite.​
What role plays art in my life and work? Art is itself to live. For example, you can not live without artistic activity​, just as ​you will die if you do not breathe.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? It is my partner Carl Heyward
Whom would I like to work with in 2018? As well as members of the Global Art Project, I want to work ​within and beyond​ the genres of artists from around the world that I have not met yet.
Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2018? I would like to meet artists all over the world who inspire me.
What project, in 2018, am I looking forward to work on? Our Global Art Project will stay ​in​ Dakar in Senegal for a month from December 23 – January 25​ and will exhibit and hold workshop​s and solo and collaborative access​. Members and friends from all over the world gather and produce. I’m looking forward very much.​ I will also participate in a group show in the Netherlands / COLLABORATION:​ beginning​ November 11

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? I can not live without passion and I think that being alive consumes passion every day. That is why as long as there is life there is passion.
