The Heroine’s Journey of Elimo Art

What is the best thing that I love about my work? My favorite purpose is to create or find colors that match perfectly with each other.
What is my idea of perfect happiness? There can be no happiness without my family and without art. So I guess my perfect happiness would be to make paintings with my children.
What is my greatest fear? Fears are to be intimately fought. There is no need to share them. But not talking about them doesn’t mean I misestimate them. I fight.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? I need chaos around me to give my best in my paintings. It’s not the best way to keep my house clean, unfortunately.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? It is difficult to choose one only. I would say Nikki de Saint-Phalle, who had to fight all her life long and who painted until the end.
What is my greatest extravagance? I don’t feel like I am extravagant. Is painting in the moonlight to recreate the colors of the night extravagant?
On what occasion would I lie? When talking about my extravagance…
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? I hate waiting. I love the colors I can make with oil paint, but I can’t stand to wait for it to be dry.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? It was the first time I were asked for an exhibition. To discover that my work could touch people was an incredible surprise.
If I could, what would I change about myself? I have no more will to change anything. I am far from perfection, but I managed to accept myself as I am.
What is my greatest achievement in work? I pasted up on the Champs Elysées for the arrival of the Tour de France. Even the policemen around were curious about my work and congratulated me. An unlikely moment.
Where would I most like to live? Anywhere I could have have a huge artist studio.
What is my most marked characteristic? I am a workholic (does this word exist?) I never stop working or thinking to new projects.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? There are many places full of street art in Paris. Le Marais is one of my favorites.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? I just love to eat okonomiyakis at Sainte-Anne’s street, in the “Japan town” of Paris.
What books influenced my life and how? I have loved the comics series “The rabbin’s cat” by Joann Sfar. Humor and philosophy all in one.
Who are my favorite writers? Joann Sfar, Bernard Werber
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? The magic flute, by Mozart of course. The queen of the night is such a masterpiece…
