What is the best thing that I love about my work?  I’m an illustrator and graphic designer.  I love to create new languages, experiment new paths and compare myself with different people. When I draw I like to feel free and at the same time put my rules, go deeper and deeper into the technique, the composition and the understanding of a text.

What is my idea of perfect happiness? I like to be in the nature, with no thoughts or opinions, just observing things.

What is my greatest fear? The loneliness and the loss of loved ones.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? Sometimes I’m too perfectionist and hard on myself and others.

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? There are a lot.

On what occasion would I lie? If I would feel in danger, without escape.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? I do not like fighting for money and dealing with unclear people. When I draw for a book, I do not like prolonged loneliness.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work? In the last 5 years there was a lot of happy moments: i like to present my children books and to do the exibitions with their illustrations. I like to compare my work with other illustrators, authors, children, their parents and learn new things.

If I could, what would I change about myself? I would like to be braver and follow my instincts more.

What is my greatest achievement in work? To have published more books than i thought, I learned to listen to criticism and improve my work. Sometimes I moved away from safe shores.

Where would I most like to live? I lived in several italian cities, some big ones and very rich from the historical point of view (ROME, URBINO, VENICE, BOLOGNA) but now i love where i am .Trieste is a medium cized city, with a lot of nature around, not to big and nice to live.

What is my most treasured possession? A sculpture that i inherit from my grandmother of a slovenian artist that i admire and rapresents love.

What is my most marked characteristic? Creativity

What is my most inspirational location, in my city? The beautiful gulf and behind the mountains.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? I like very much the fish, so the more beautiful place for me and for my finances in my city, is a little restaurant near the sea side.

What books influenced my life and how? There are different books that influenced my life in different moments. When I was adolescent the classicals (Dostoevskij, Tolstoi, Hemingway, Christiane F., Marquez, Allende, Neruda) after i loved oriental literature.

Who are my favorite writers? There are many.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Wonder woman

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? Woman writers, scientist, artist, mothers…

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? BLADE RUNNER directed by Ridley Scott

What role plays art in my life and work? Extremely important!

Whom would I like to work with in 2019? I would like to work with new pubblishers and authors in Italy and abroad.

Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2019? You never know who is going to cross your path. I would like to meet people that have more experience in my work then I have.

What project, in 2019, am I looking forward to work on?  I would like to work on a beautiful book that could bring me in different countries through different cultures.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? Artists never retire, it is a passion or something near anchor of salvation.
