What is the best thing that I love about my work?

The power of meetings and relationships spent to ‘think’ and restore places with its people and create, day by day, project by project, new possibilities.

What is my idea of perfect happiness?

Being able to give answers to my (true) self and the needs of people living in my microcosm.

What is my greatest fear?

Above all, I fear losing – and then forgetting – people I love.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

I spent many years deploring myself: our mind is a beautiful and dangerous place. Now, I’m working to recognize and contain some negative parts.

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?

I already met some interesting artists or creatives in my way – like Carla Iacono, obviously! – but I’m still looking for people that I consider masters in this new, amazing adventure… despite this, I love the approach to work and life of young women like Sara D’Agati and Maria Vittoria Baravelli.

What is my greatest extravagance?

My craziest parts often produce extravagance!

On what occasion would I lie?

Perhaps when it’s strongly necessary.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

I dislike the precariousness of this work and some negative dynamics.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

When I made, with other fantastic people, something great in and for our places such as Pontremoli Foto Festival and other “little, big” events – really “heartmade”.

If I could, what would I change about myself?

I’d like to fix something wrong inside – and take care of me, out 🙂

What is my greatest achievement in work?

My greatest achievement is seeing a deep connection between my sensibility and the others one.

Where would I most like to live?

I would to move to many places, but my dream is to live and work where I am now: the beautiful and complex countryside called Lunigiana.

What is my most treasured possession?

My family and my memories.

What is my most marked characteristic?  

I think carefulness, enthusiasm and empathy

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

My family’s homes and many other places: we’ve got many inspirational locations in Lunigiana!

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?

There are many places to eat and drink something special in my region, but one of my favourite places here is “Agriturismo Montagna Verde”, a diffused hotel born in an ancient village near Licciana Nardi (northern Tuscany): Barbara Maffei, daughter of the owner, is a really inspiring woman.

What books influenced my life and how?

Many words influeced my life. Three books? Oceano mare (Alessandro Baricco) because its sentences are like friends; Siamo buoni se siamo buoni (Paolo Nori) because with this one I started looking for my father (lost in 2011); Grief is the thing with feathers (Max Porter) for a common, powerful pain.

Who are my favorite writers?

Actually Franco Arminio and Mariangela Gualtieri (Italian poets).

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?

The great gig in the sky (Pink Floyd)

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?

Every author hidden between his words.

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?

My parents.

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?

For my personal opinion: “Everything is illuminated” and “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close” by Jonathan Safran Foer’s novels.

What role plays art in my life and work?

Art gives me answers and keeps me alive.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

My affects and real friends.

Whom would I like to work with in 2019?

I’d like to work here with my “companions” and somewhere else with someone to teach me.

Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2019?

I’d love to meet many people… I’m going to find them! 🙂

What project, in 2019, am I looking forward to work on?

I’ll work for Pontremoli Foto Festival 2019 and other important project with Lunicafoto. I also hope to study and work on building other projects with interesting and professional people: honestly, I have to build my career and start making money doing what I love.
