The Heroine’s Journey of Léna Bousquet

What is the best thing that I love about my work?  What I like in my work is the freedom of my schedule, the very different human encounters and of course, the fact that I live of my passion, illustration.
What is my idea of perfect happiness?  My idea of perfect happiness is diversity, every morning when I wake up, I know that my day will be different from the day before.
What is my greatest fear?  For me, routine is synonymous with boredom and misfortune, so this is one of the fear I have. More personally, being sick or lose a close person are the biggest.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?  For a long time, I lacked self-confidence, I continue to work on it, the way is very long…
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?  I admire all the illustrators, artists and graphic designers, it’s difficult to choose some of them as they all inspire me for differents reasons.
What is my greatest extravagance? I am a big fan of black humor.
On what occasion would I lie?  I lie to people who are not able to hear the truth.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?  Sometimes I have to deal with people with very strong or bad characters, it is sometimes difficult to have enough perspective not to enter the conflict.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? It was when I won my first competition for the Galerie Lafayette, to create their travel books. 
If I could, what would I change about myself? If I could, I would love to believe in myself, no matter what happen.
What is my greatest achievement in work? The first was when I passed the entrance exam at my graphic design school and the second when I managed to earn a living freelance.
Where would I most like to live? I love my city, Paris, for its dynamism, but I would love to live in Barcelona, I miss the sea so much…
What is my most treasured possession? I am not a materialistic person, so I would say that my most precious things in life are my family and my friends.
What is my most marked characteristic? My joy of living.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? The subway, the bars, every place where I can meet people from different horizons.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? I love to eat in typical parisian breweries, as the Sans Souci in Pigalle which is a good place to drink too.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? I would listen to the full album of the Moody Blues “Days of future passed”.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Sam Gamgee!
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? Diane Fossey
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? Into the wild
What role plays art in my life and work? Art is my work but not my life, I think it’s important to distinguish the two.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My buddy Audrey Alain!
Whom would I like to work with in 2019? Everybody who is interesting, open-minded and creatives.
Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2019? I would love to meet  an Illustrator agent.
What project, in 2019, am I looking forward to work on? I’m looking forward to work on mural, I made one in a restaurant and this work fascinated me.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? I would love to be passionate by illustration and art direction all my life, but everything changes and we don’t know what will happen tomorrow, that’s why passion is so intense!
Which creative heroines should Peter invite to tell their story? Audrey Alain, a very good art director and photograph, she has a beautiful universe that everybody need to discover!
