What is the best thing that I love about my work?
Dancing makes me speak, makes me express what I feel or think about, through the movement which may not be so perfect sometimes but each one of them is ‘real’. This is why I am real me when I dance. In this modern world everything is so full of words. Social networks, messages, internet, television.. I am always saying, if there is to much of something, it just loses the meaning. When I dance or choreograph something the only that speaks is music through those movements, and we become part of this amazing harmony only when we follow the sound. And then it has a meaning.
What is my idea of perfect happiness?
My favourite quote of all time is: “It was only in theatre where I lived.” Through these few little words Oscar Wilde said everything.
What is my greatest fear?
My fears are not realted to my work, passion or motivation. It is something that moves me so I will never lose it. Through the darkest or the happiest times I know who I am and what makes me happy. Fears that I do have are really phobias and not even realistic.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
I don’t know how to balance because I do everything with a great passion and commitment. Everything is always black or white. There is no middle. I think if you do things on half it’s better to not do them at all. This is both, work and private life related.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?
There are more of them and they all are great teachers and choreographers. Nika Kljun, Sonya Tayeh and Veronica Peparini.
I like unique people who are always few steps away from everyone else. People from ‘another world’ who knows they are unique and original. They give me the motivation to avoid this general need which was planted like a seed in people, a need to be ‘part’- a need to belong. You just need to be yourself, and the right people will recognize it. And that’s what is important, right?
What is my greatest extravagance?
I don’t follow the rules and regulations when it comes to my personality or the way I am expressing it. As I said previously, I don’t think that people should follow the crowd. I think quite the opposite. People with a bit of ‘craziness’ are the ones who brings changes.
On what occasion would I lie?
I don’t lie because I am such a bad lier. I think the truth is better, even if it hurts us or other people. No lie is better than the truth. Maybe sometimes in work it’s necessary but in private life, never.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
Trends. Nowdays almost only classical ballet deserves to be ‘THE art’. The rest is nudity and promiscuity. It’s not what D-A-N-C-E should be. And it’s not the reason why I’ve started to dance more than twenty years ago. I know some great dancers who had started to follow these trends just to earn the money. Less clothes, less gracious movements, more make up… It’s sad actually. And what is even more sad is the fact that these type of people are more interesting and hired more often than someone who is still ‘the real artist’.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
Each theatre has it’s own charm. But the one that takes a breath away is most definitely Arena di Verona in Italy.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
I think it’s not a question for women because they often find a lot of that they would change. First regarding to their look. Always. What I wish to change the most is my explosive personality. Even though it’s what makes me keep going I wish I can balance a little bit more.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
As a choreographer I created a lot of shows and events, my groups won first places and achieve great results on some high leveled competitions all around the Europe, I also have a lot of diplomas that are very important detail in my CV for most of employers. But I don’t consider gold medals or papers as some great success. What I care the most about is to stay humble, to stand with both feet on a ground, to learn and upgrade yourself. Always. And not to be the best but to be unique.

What books influenced my life and how?
Sofie’s world- when a little girl starts to recieve the letters from old philosopher her life turns upside down. He is taking her through the history where she meets great minds like Sokrat, Da Vinci, Galileo etc. This novel had a purpose to bevome the Philosophy book for teenagers in High school. I’ve read it when I was 10 and it was the begining of my search for the meaning of life.
The Island- another book that most children wouldn’t understand. I’ve read it right after the Sofie’s world and it makes me to read everything that was written by the great Aldous Huxley. Right after this one is ‘A brave new world.’ All of them are about the society. About belonging, finding and losing yourself but the most of all- to be who you really are.
Alice in Wonderland- I think there is no need to explain this one. I’ve read it in different eras of my life and each time is different. But the one quote is very special and it follows me all my life: “She began to believe that very few things are indeed impossible.”
Who are my favorite writers?
Aldous Huxley and all the Russians (Tolstoj, Dostojevski, Ljermontov…) Nothing can be compared to Russian literature. Ever.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?

“Je remue le ciel le jour, la nuit

Un peu d’amour, un brin de miel
Et je danse, danse, danse, danseee..'”
