What is the best thing that I love about my work?
First of all I need to present myself as an artisan, I proudly am a “craftswomen”.
I love creating with fabric. I really love transforming a flat surface in 3D item, such a garment or an accessorie.
And more, I love transmitting this wonderful passion to my students, consequently I love teaching.
What is my idea of perfect happiness?
To be arrived here where I am.
Be satisfied by working, by teaching, by explaining who I’m through my work.
To be appreciated by my family, by my lovely partner, by my friends.
What is my greatest fear?
I’m afraid not to be able anymore to do this wonderful job. Not be able to have my place to create and make experiments.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
I never stop thinking about to find good solutions for my work, to create.
I deplore in myself not to take the right attentions to my family because of my work. I travel and I work a lot and I’m not a perfect housewife….
Which living persons in my profession do I most admire?
All my teachers colleague with whom I work as a team: we take care to students’ progresses and we try to find new way to succeed in transmitting the hardest technical part of our work, such as pattern making and sewing construction techniques.
What is my greatest extravagance?
Working with a smile, always and everywhere.
On what occasion would I lie?
I tent not to lie because my face always reveals my thoughts.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
I dislike giving a price to my creation.
Sometime people find for a tailor to save money and to have reproduced an expensive brand garment trying spending less, but making a costume made dress means to create a unique garment and requires a lot of work hours.
I also dislike grading students, learning this work means to have a certain ability by creating with brain and hand, using techniques that sometime are not for everyone.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
While I cut the fabric in my Atelier.
When I have positive improvements, feedbacks from my students.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
I would like taking a breath sometime, taking care a little bit more of my family, telling some “not” more sometime .
What is my greatest achievement in work?
Being good valued by my colleagues and being appreciated by my students.
Where would I most like to live?
Everywhere but nowhere without my atelier and my working place.
What is my most treasured possession?
Versatility, enthusiasm, curiosity.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
My atelier, my second home.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?
My home with my partner.
What books influenced my life and how?
Italian noir books, such as “Il commissario Montalbano” by Cammilleri.
I really love reading and noir books help me to have an escape and rest from the routine.
Reading time it’s the only moment in which I stop thinking of my work.
Who are my favorite writers?
I love Italian noir writers that create a series of story that give me the possibility to be at home, living the life of the main characters.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?
Those who fight for their ideas, those who never stop to see the positive side of the life, those who never stop to believe in their dreams and in theirs wills.

“Amélie”, by Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
What role plays art in my life and work?
A fundamental role. Art is the universal way to communicate everything.
The Artisan etymology comes from Art!
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?
My partner Roberto. He trust in me, he is really happy of my career and of my goals.
Whom would I like to work with in 2019?
I would like to work with people from which I could learn more and more.
Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2019?
I’ll love to meet people that like working in team without any competitions, for a common goal.
What project, in 2019, am I looking forward to work on?
I look forward to prepare more in deep my lessons and seminars, to finish writing my Pattern Making Book with my colleague Camilla di Biagio and last but not least create new garments.
