What is the best thing that I love about my work?

My purpose as an artist is to express my deepest thoughts and feelings through visual expression. Cant get any better then that being the goal of my days work.

What is my idea of perfect happiness?  

A creative flow where time is irrelevant.

What is my greatest fear?  


What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

Unable to fully enjoy moments I should.

Which living persons in my profession do I most admire? 

Professional and kind artists, curators and gallery owners etc..

What is my greatest extravagance?

First class.

On what occasion would I lie?  

To not hurt.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

Parting with art.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

Alone painting. 

If I could, what would I change about myself?  

Have more patience.

What is my greatest achievement in work?

Building up through the Chicago art scene. Chicago political commissions to Special Olympics work. Now public art owned by Chicagos mayor, two alderman and Tim Shriver in DC. Also my international and Art Miami exhibitions along side my studio/gallery at the Zhou B Art Center.

Where would I most like to live? 

Based in Chicago with endless travel options.

What is my most treasured possession?

Sentimental jewelry.

What is my most marked characteristic?

My curly hair.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?  

My Chicago and home studios.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?

DeColores is my go to restaurant in Chicago.

Biographical. I love learning want made the person who they are.

Who are my favorite writers?

The latest one I read. This time its Patti Smiths Just Kids.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?

Beatles, Blink 182, Mozart, Bach and Vivaldi.

Iris Leviton

Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime? 

The Godfather l and ll. Life. Family. Business.

What role plays art in my life and work?

It is my life. Its my job.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?  

All my immediate family in their own individual way.

What project, in 2019, am I looking forward to work on?  

Returning to New York in the Spring for a large project.

Commission work for a collector in Florida.
