What is the best thing that I love about my work?

Through my work, I can fully express myself, give free rein to my imagination and materialize the ideas I have in mind.

What is my idea of perfect happiness?

Enjoy the sun with a cold drink.

What is my greatest fear?

Like many artists I guess, I’m afraid of the blank page.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

I’m pretty shy, I would like to be more communicative.

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?

I fond of Corine Borgnet’s sculptures made with chicken bones, the kitsch photos of Alva Bernadine and Eugenia Loli’s surrealistic collages.

What is my greatest extravagance?

Over the years, I collect erotic vintage magazines and skulls. I always be attracted by the main themes of Eros and Thanatos as well as vanities.

On what occasion would I lie?

I lie very badly so I avoid !

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

All stuff of computeur, it’s time-consuming.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

During my first personal exhibition in 2010 entitled Welcome Home. I presented intimate photos taken in my student apartment. At this time I was my own photo model. It was great to be able to manage the process independently, from the idea to the exhibition.

If I could, what would I change about myself?

I would like to improve my ability to be really myself without worrying about what others think.

What is my greatest achievement in work?

I am proud to have published Self tie three years ago , my first photo book with a small publishing house based in Nice, in the south of France. The book is sold roped, so people have to undo knots for open it and discover my bondage photos.

Where would I most like to live?

I would love to return on the Reunion island in the Indian Ocean. I grew up there and I miss the tropical vegetation, the lagoons and the volcano. It is a paradise island where fauna and flora are still preserved.

What is my most treasured possession?

For a long time, I was looking for a real human skull. One day I received a medical skull named “Momo?”. You can pick up the jaw, open the brain cavity in two or four. It’s the most beautiful skull in my collection !

What is my most marked characteristic?

I am determined and persevering.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

At home surrounded by my collections, with all my equipment, that sometimes invaded my living space.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?

I don’t have a favorite address, as long as it is at the seaside.

What books influenced my life and how?

Oedipe sur la route from Henry Bauchau. This book tells about Oedipe’s exile as an initiatory journey. For me, this poetic book is essential because art is described as allowing self-knowledge and kind of freedom.

Who are my favorite writers?

There are so many but it’s with pleasure that I dive into a book from Paul Auster, John Fante, Haruki Murakami, Edgar Poe, Oscar Wilde, Ambrose Bierce or Guy de Maupassant for example.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?

For sure, Echoes by Pink Floyd.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?

Since I’m a teenager, I’m a fan of Daria, a cynical cartoon character.

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?

Authentic, passionate and cultured people are a source of inspiration for me.

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?

Jim Jarmusch’s movie Deadman. Everything is perfect: black&white images, Neil Young’s throbbing guitar, the western atmosphere that, on a misunderstanding, turns into a mystical journey. I have seen it dozens of times and I don’t get tired of it.

What role plays art in my life and work?

It’s my daily drug !

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

Of course, my lover. He supports me in all my projects.

Whom would I like to work with in 2019?

I do not know yet, I leave it to chance meetings.

I’m thinking about a new artist’s book.

The passion to create keep me alive, is such a part of who I am.

I’m thinking about Julie Dalmon, Fur Aphrodite, Flore Kunst or Mila Nijinsky.

They are all french artist who have so much to tell about their passion.
