What is the best thing that I love about my work?
The community! Amongst other aspects like working with incredible talent whom are all genuinely nice people, making people happy with the best service I can offer, and generally just getting to be a part of it all. I love being part of such a positive, expanding community. At the end of the day, we all share this hobby, so why not celebrate it together?
What is my idea of perfect happiness?
My idea of a perfect happiness is that ‘just right’ feeling in a single moment. There will never be a smooth consistency in life, and to be quite frank that would be boring, so my aim is to simply live for the moment, rather than seek something beyond my control.
What is my greatest fear?
That one is quite a simple answer, living without my loved ones.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
I would say my personal level of control (which also has its positives too). I always try to be mindful about something being too much or too little, but I am not someone that can relax until something is right or complete, and it can lead to me being quite a persistent headache!

I would say every artist I have and have had the pleasure of working with. I truly admire the art and creativity by every one of these people and I think it shows, making the work and time I put into everything relatable to many.
What is my greatest extravagance?
It has to be my personal art collection. I am from Yorkshire! It is in my blood to grumble about personal expenditure otherwise. A coffee in London is soul destroying, but original artwork by Jim Lee is okay.

I prefer to leave that into the hands of life and experiences.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
It definitely has to be the day I launched my own brand in the comic and art industry, working with the best team I could wish for, and being surrounded by so many supportive individuals. It is never easy to move away from safety, but I rolled with it, took some heavy bumps, and everything turned out really good in the end.
Where would I most like to live?
I would not wish to move anywhere different to where I live now, in a quiet and desolate town, surrounded by fields and no crowds. I am a hermit! It is nice to travel to different places every now and then, but the word ‘home’ means something so warm and comforting to me.
What is my most treasured possession?
It has to be my memory box, filled with little sentimental bits that are special to me.

In the town that I live? Well, that is a question. I think probably the flowers in the fields would be a better option. It would have to be home again, or my granddads, if that counts.
What books influenced my life and how?
If it was not for one book in particular I would not be where I am today. I worked in a music shop many years ago now, and I was given Punk Rock Jesus by Sean Murphy to read. This was my first encounter with a graphic novel and from that moment I fell in love with sequential storytelling and comic art. Sean Murphy’s artwork in PRJ completely blew my mind and planted the seed that grew to be such a huge part of my life.
Who are my favorite writers?
In no particular order; Terry Pratchett, J.R. R. Tolkien, Neil Gaiman, John Lennon, Roald Dahl, Sean Murphy and Enrico Marini. These writers have all influenced my life in many ways.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?
Well, my favourite band is The Black Keys (I love rock/bluesy rock), but I would probably go out in triumphant style with a bit of Queen!

Gandalf, with his many wise words and ways! I love wise wizard characters.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?
My biggest heroines are my mum and my grandma. I always get told I take after my grandma, but ultimately, they have given me my biggest life values.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?
That is a difficult question! I have a few favourite films and they all vary in genres. I think I would say Shutter Island. The first time I watched Shutter Island I had no clue what it was about and I watched it out of wanting to fill a couple of hours, and it probably is the most transfixed I have ever been by a film.
What role plays art in my life and work?
Well, art is pretty much everything when it comes to my life and work. I would say the only thing that comes close to comparing is football!
