But if there is a need of a response and it depends on my answer and this is could be done to help protect someone, then I would only say half of the truth, only to try and navigate this person to something better.

What books influenced my life and how?
Big topic! I can speak a lot here, but I will mention just two briefly.
Antonio Damasio’s books ‘Self Comes to Mind’ and ‘The Feeling of What Happens’. I understood how the feelings of emotion can influence the body state. Emotions provide us with survival-oriented behaviors, which impact us deeply on an internal level. The overall experience of feeling when there is a shift in consciousness changes the chemistry in the body through the neural system following significant activity in the brain. What we think is what we create in our lives and this can automatically affect the chemistry of our physical bodies and heal illnesses that are considered incurable in the world of medicine.
The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter & Miracles – Bruce Lipton – the renowned cell biologist, describes the precise molecular pathways and the new scientific discoveries show us that how far-reaching our thoughts are in terms of well-being – all the cells of our body are affected by the signals elicited by our brain. This enabled me to understand a deeper link between mind and matter.
